Ironbridge, Shropshire

Failure of an old wall in Ironbridge provided some challenges to the design of stabilisation works. The wall that supported the slope failed, exposing the underlying loose ash and clinker from historic industrial activity. Stabilisation designs included soil nailing with appropriate consideration for the appropriate corrosion protection requirements. Soil nails are currently being installed by Vertical Technology Ltd.
